Terrible ! Don't believe the HYPE !!!. Now this review is for this location only!. I heard about it -went to try it -and needless to say................................................ I LEFT IT RIGHT THERE !! I ordered wings asked for them to be cooked crispy and with extra "seasoning" as I was told . The place was only about 1/3 full but they could not keep up with the demand in a timely manner . OH MAYBE BECAUSE THE WORKERS WERE TOO BUSY SITTING DOWN EATING RIGHT IN THE VIEW OF THE CUSTOMERS . !! Okay maybe they needed a break what ever ..just get the food . The food came out about 20 mins later -orders were sitting on the counter and they did not call the numbers until minutes later . sooo anyway Finally the food comes up and we went to check just to verify the order was correct which was 10 wings -fries and side order of mac n cheese. Mac n Cheese was tasty for a "carry out" but the wings uggghhh didn't taste like anything , they were soggy AND it was some piece of thing sticking out one of the wings idk what the heck it was . Before that 2 other people had complained about orders as well. We returned the order of course the guy was upset and looked at me crazy like I was wrong for tasting it and wished I had went home and just been dissatisfied. He directed me to the owner who asked if I wanted the wings cooked over I declined and he refunded my money on to my card (should be on in a cpl days I will be calling if not ). The manager was calm and professional as a manager should be when processing my refund . I wont visit this location again but I will try another location just to see what the real hype is about .

Ok food ok have to eat while still hot! They messed up my order every time I come. You have to go behind them after you have ordered. It's like they can't comprehend very well. Even after you have asked them do they have the correct order over and over again.

Please do not go to this location. If you must, please check your bag before you leave. This was my first visit to the Temple Hills location on 8/7/2015. I was order 37 and 38. I ordered the fish and chicken combo and whiting dinner with greens and sweet potatoes. I noticed when I picked up my dinner there was only one side container so I assumed the other side was inside with the fish. Wrong. The greens was not placed in my bag. I called back to advise the store they forgot to put the greens in the bag. The person on the phone told me I was wrong and the clerk assured him that the greens were in the bag. Now, listen, I am calling about greens, not fish, not chicken, would I really waste my time for some FREE greens. Needless to say the worst customer service. I hope they check the cameras and realize they made a mistake. Do not patronize this location if this is how they are going to treat the community.

After reading the reviews, I thought twice... then I decided to try this place. Happy I did! Its eerily similar to Sharks Fish & Chicken, especially with the lemon powder seasoning. I ordered the catfish and chicken wing combo + macncheese. Did not disappoint at all! Even went back the next day for more catfish and fried okra. Added a sweet potato cheesecake pie. No problems with the service, although my wait time was more than 15 minutes. Overall, it's a great fried food joint if you're in the area. Will certainly be one of my go-tos for eating out.

I had the trout fish platter with fries and coleslaw. I figured I'd keep it simple since it was my first time. It was pretty good. But my one star rating is based off of customer service. I mean, even a simple "hello" would have been human. I won't be going back to this location! They were all foreigners working there.

First off, let me start off by saying that I love the Glen Burnie location even though the employees can be rude. So when I saw this location opening up in a area that I frequent, I was excited! Took the Guy in here hoping it was just as good as what I've had before and it was just as good! The location is very typical as far as the decor goes! The menu is on a white board above head and is very self explanatory! They too have the counter full of deserts such as banana pudding and cakes of many different flavors! However, one big difference that I noticed with the menu was this location had some "soul food" side items such as macaroni and cheese and collard greens. However, I was very leery of soul food from such a place! I got my standard catfish fillet and fries and the guy ordered the fried chicken! He loved the fried chicken! I, as usual enjoyed my catfish! The food was good as usual. No surprises here! But the Guy was SOLD!! It was his first time here and now he is a believer! Definitely going back for round 2!

The service left something to be desired. I asked if they had hot wings and the guy said no. I looked at the menu because I couldn't believe that, and I pointed to the picture of hot wings. He said, "those are buffalo wings." Really dude? Anyway, the price was good. The quality was pretty decent. All I've had there are the wings, and I probably won't return.

The whiting special was pretty good. the fish was well seasoned and they gave me huge portions. the greens were pretty good but I did not care for the mac n cheese.

The food was great! Customer service, horrible!!! Yes, I went hours before the Mayweather fight, but that doesn't excuse the fact that people who called in orders STILL had to wait in line for 30 mins. I stood in line and ordered, asked what the expected wait time was, and was told 45 mins, so I went to the car. Something told me to go back in, so I stood up near the waiting line. A guy calls my number a few mins later, then with an attitude asks why I didn't say anything because he's been calling my number...now I'm irritated because their system sucks and I'm hungry still. He walks away, and call him back over and I tell him I didn't know he was calling my number and that his cashier didn't tell me how their little dumb system works and he cuts me off saying he doesn't need a lecture...wth?! I'm usually never in that area, and maybe it was just the wrong day, but this is my worst HHC experience since I became obsessed with their chicken.

I noticed this particular business reopening for the 6th time here! but it is now called Hip Hop Chicken. Parking is ample because it's not very busy. The dessert display looks appealing right away, because they have many to choose from. I noticed one of their signs claiming they sell soul food. I think Oh Lord, here we go again. No one behind the counter with any type of "Soul" is making the "Soul Food". I ordered 2 pieces of chicken, the greens, macaroni and cheese, strawberry cake, and the ice tea. First off, the customer service was dirt poor. The guy was rude and disinterested in me being their. Secondly, the 2 stars is for the strawberry cake. They didn't make it, it was bought from either restaurant depot, or from Shoppers Food Warehouse. The fried chicken was gross, I spit it out and trashed it. They put a salt,pepper,sugar mixture on the chicken, and it was GROSS!!!!!! The greens taste like aluminum can, and the macaroni and cheese tasted HORRIBLY SHARP!!!! They used only EXTRA SHARP cheese in their macaroni. I tried to wash it down with the ice tea........good grief did they add a cup of sugar to the 3 Gallons?!?! Disgusting. I basically waisted $10.00, yes $10.00 was in the trash because the cake was $3.00 by itself!!!! I sent my mother the next day to see if I was tripping. I paid for it because they not gon waste my momma money. She went in their, ordered the same thing. She did the same thing, except gave it to some stray cats lingering about. So I wasn't tripping. DO NOT GO TO HIP HOP CHICKEN. THERE IS NO HIP OR NO HOP ABOUT THAT CHICKEN EXCEPT THAT YOUR GOING TO BREAK YOUR HIP HOPPING OUT OF THERE!!!

there chicken n fries could be better...the fish was cooked alittle 2 hard but it was good n tasty...but they dont have ne croaker...smh!!!!
